Centred around a 68.5m tall tower laminated timber bungy tower resembling a tree as its centrepiece, the development comprised of a unique tourist attraction featuring a range of elevated adventure activities designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest environment. The tower housed a bungy jump platform and a helical slide that spirals through its structure.
At the base of the Activity Tower, the main entry building offered a welcoming space with a café, ticketing area, souvenir shop, and facilities, as well as a two-tiered outdoor deck overlooking a naturalistic bungy touch pool. The surrounding forest hosted a highwire course with six towers connected by ziplines and a wire bridge, with smaller structural laminated timber platforms designed to complement the main tower’s form. The proposed development also includes a multi-nodal carpark, carefully placed in a low-lying area to minimize visibility and designed to follow the natural contours of the site. While clearly visible, the overall design emphasized a minimal environmental impact philosophy, including the restoration of indigenous bush and wetlands, limited earthworks, and extensive native planting around the buildings and viewing platforms.
